Around Campus

Homecoming

Each fall on the Southeast Missouri State campus, we have a very eventful week called Homecoming week!  We partner with a fraternity and participate in activities throughout the week.  We also do quite a bit of ‘pomping,’ which is how we decorate our Homecoming float.  The newest members of ADPi get to ride on the float, which is featured in the Homecoming parade right before the  football game! This past year our theme was the New Years Eve! We got first in the float, and third overall. We were very proud of our pairings and Delta Nu’s hard work!

Many of the women in ADPi are blessed with athletic talent!  We have an intramural team for almost every sport, and our teams compete with other organizations on campus. Intramurals are a great way to stay in shape and have fun with our sisters.  Make sure you go and check out what we place in each sport through out the year on our “About Us” page! We have a lot of Sporty Pis!

Greek Week

Greek Week is held each year during the spring semester at Southeast to celebrate membership in the Greek community.  The week consists of seven days of community service, social interaction and friendly competition!  The members of all the Greek organizations on campus volunteer at Special Olympics, collect canned food and money to be donated to community organizations, participate in various community service projects around Cape Girardeau, and hold a blood drive to assist in the ongoing need to save lives.  Together in 2013, members of Southeast fraternities and sororities donated  1,144 hours of community service, over 30,000 units of food to the Salvation Army, 670 pints of  blood to the American Red Cross, and over $16,000 for multiple organizations including the Special Olympics, Big Brother/Big Sisters, Backstoppers, St. Baldricks Cancer Foundation, Autism Speaks, and many more! At the end of this crazy, fun week, we all attend Greek Sing in the Show Me Center, and each group of fraternities and sororities puts on a short production with their theme for Greek Week.
